NetWork & Education Consulting was founded in 1994 by Mario Parada Guzmán. My IT career started with studies in Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Católica de Valparaiso, Chile, and Computer Science at Lund University in Sweden. Between 1982 and 1986 I worked with Luxor Datorer and my passion for network was born. The first networks Operating System (OS) and hardware was Lux-Net and Cat-Net in the very beginning of networks for small networks. 1984 the PC was born and new challenges and development were in sight. DOS-Net, LANtastic, Apple-Share, Windows for Workgroups was others peer-to-peer OS I worked with. 1986-1989 as a Chef Technician and associate of ITM Scandinavia AB started the “real” work with client/server OS with Novell NetWare (1.x, 2.x, 3.x), 3Com+ Share and Banyan Vines. 1989-1993 as a Network Consultant at ScandBiz Information Systems AB continue with Novell NetWare 3.x 4.x, Lan Manager and Windows Advanced Server. The way to design IT infrastructure was dramatically changed with the introduction of Directory Services introduced in Novell Netware 4.x (NDS) and Microsoft Windows 2000 (AD). Novell NetWare (4.x, 5.x, 6.x), ZENworks, GroupeWise and Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 have become my main domains. Network infrastructure, Active Directory, Windows Server 2003/2008, SCCM 2007, MS Exchange 2010 are my working areas of today. The challenges of tomorrow include Microsoft Windows Server 2012, System Center Configuration Manager 2012 and Windows 8. We will be there, for you!
